Slim sightlines. Bold colours. Unmatched strength. Aluminium systems deliver a level of design precision and longevity that UPVC simply can't match — for bi-folds, sliders, windows, and roof lanterns.
Aluminium's strength allows far narrower frame sections than UPVC — so you get more glass and less frame, letting in significantly more light.
Powder-coated in any RAL or BS colour you choose — single colour, dual colour, or even a bespoke metallic finish for truly unique projects.
Aluminium doesn't rust, warp, or need repainting. The powder coat finish is extremely durable — a wipe down is all that's needed.
Modern aluminium systems use a polyamide thermal break to dramatically reduce heat conduction through the frame — A-rated performance is achievable.
We stock and supply aluminium systems from our Waleswood depot. Fast turnaround for trade customers and self-builders.
Aluminium systems are typically made to measure — send us your exact opening dimensions and we'll quote quickly and accurately.
Four product categories — all available in any RAL colour, with thermally broken profiles and a wide range of glass options.
Stack a whole wall of glass to one side. Available in 2 to 7 pane configurations with traffic door options — the definitive indoor/outdoor living product.
Smooth, effortless sliding on precision stainless rollers. Slimmer sightlines than UPVC patio doors — available up to very large spans in 2, 3, or 4 pane layouts.
Casement, tilt & turn, and fixed light aluminium windows with slimmer sightlines than equivalent UPVC. Ideal for commercial projects, extensions, and contemporary new builds.
A flat or low-pitch roof lantern floods a room with natural light from above. Aluminium's slim rafters maximise glazing area — available in any size and RAL colour.
Aluminium is around three times stronger than UPVC by weight, which means frame sections can be made much narrower while maintaining the same structural integrity. A typical aluminium bi-fold stile is 35–45mm wide; the UPVC equivalent is often 70mm or more.
The result is dramatically more glazing area, more natural light into your room, and a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic that many architects and designers specify by default.
Aluminium conducts heat far more readily than UPVC, so early aluminium windows were cold and prone to condensation. Modern systems solve this with a polyamide thermal break — a low-conductivity barrier bonded between the inner and outer aluminium sections.
The best thermally broken aluminium systems now achieve WER A ratings and U-values comparable to premium UPVC, without sacrificing the slim sightlines that make aluminium visually distinctive.
One of aluminium's greatest advantages over UPVC is colour choice. Where UPVC is limited to foil-wrapped finishes in a dozen or so shades, aluminium can be powder-coated in any RAL or BS colour — over 200 options as standard, plus custom and metallic finishes on request.
