Why Add a Conservatory?

More Natural Light

A well-designed conservatory floods your home with natural light year-round, making living spaces feel larger and more connected to the garden.

🏠

Add Value to Your Property

A quality conservatory is one of the most cost-effective ways to add both living space and market value to a UK home.

No Planning Permission (Usually)

Most conservatories fall under Permitted Development rights — no planning application needed, just Building Regulations compliance for the roof.

Year-Round Comfort

With the right roof system — glass or solid — a modern conservatory is comfortable to use in all seasons, not just summer.

Frame Styles

Four classic conservatory shapes to suit any home — from the compact lean-to to the spacious P-shape. All available in UPVC or aluminium frames.

Victorian conservatory

Victorian

The most popular style — a faceted bay front with a steeply pitched roof creates a classic, elegant look that suits period and modern homes alike.

Edwardian conservatory

Edwardian

A square or rectangular floor plan with a hipped roof — maximises usable internal space and gives a clean, symmetrical look from outside.

Lean-to conservatory

Lean-To

The simplest and most cost-effective option — a single-pitch roof that leans against the house wall. Ideal for bungalows or where planning height is restricted.

P-shape conservatory

P-Shape

Combines a Victorian or Edwardian end with a lean-to side extension — the largest option, perfect for open-plan kitchen-dining extensions.

Roof Systems

The roof is the most important decision you'll make. It determines how comfortable your conservatory is, how it looks, and whether it needs Building Regulations approval.

Polycarbonate roof colours

Polycarbonate Roof

The traditional and most affordable choice. Modern 16mm or 25mm twin-wall and multi-wall polycarbonate panels are significantly better than early versions — better insulation, better UV protection, and no yellowing.

Does not require Building Regulations approval in most cases, making it the fastest route to a completed conservatory.

  • Most cost-effective roof option
  • Lightweight — no additional structural support needed
  • No Building Regulations approval (most cases)
  • 16mm, 25mm and 35mm panel options
  • Bronze, opal, and clear finishes available
Glass roof colours

Glass Roof

A glass roof transforms a conservatory into a true year-round room. High-performance solar control and self-cleaning glass dramatically reduces solar gain in summer while retaining warmth in winter — far superior to polycarbonate for thermal comfort.

  • A-rated thermally broken roof bars
  • Solar control glass reduces summer overheating
  • Self-cleaning glass coating available
  • Lantern light options for flat or low-pitch roofs
  • Requires Building Regulations approval
Solid tiled conservatory roof

Solid / Tiled Roof

A solid tiled roof gives you a proper room — fully insulated to the same standard as your main house, Planning and Building Regulations compliant, and warmer in winter than any glazed roof option.

Many customers choose a solid roof with a Velux-style roof window or a small glass lantern to retain natural light while gaining year-round thermal performance.

  • Full insulation to Part L Building Regulations
  • Matching tiles available for most roof profiles
  • Option to add roof windows or a small lantern
  • Quieter than glass or polycarbonate in rain
  • Requires Building Regulations approval
